The Browning T-Bolt Varmint is a 5-pound straight-pull rimfire rifle in .22 LR, with a 22-inch free-floating medium target barrel. It has a semi-match chamber, a recessed crown, and a 1/2x28 threaded muzzle that comes with a thread protector. The gray laminated stock has a Monte Carlo cheekpiece, and the adjustable trigger can be set to the shooter's preference. The rifle holds 10 rounds in its magazine.

In Texas this is a target and small-game rifle. Rimfire ammunition is banned for deer in the state, so the T-Bolt belongs on the range and in the field for varmint and small game. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounts, and sling swivel studs are installed. The Monte Carlo cheekpiece helps the cheek weld when a scope is in use, and dealers sell rifles from age 18.
