The Beretta APX A1 RDO is a full-size, striker-fired 9mm pistol with a 4.25-inch barrel and a 17+1 capacity. It weighs 28.24 ounces, measures 7.55 inches overall, and comes with two magazines. The slide is cut for red dot optics through Beretta's RDO plate system, and standard iron sights are fitted from the factory so the pistol is usable right out of the box.

A Texas buyer who wants a full-size 9mm for home defense, carry or the range gets the extra capacity of the 17-round count. The optics-ready slide lets the same pistol run a red dot, and the plate system accepts the Burris, C-More, Shield and Holosun sights the maker lists. Texas buyers take the pistol home after a NICS check at a dealer, with no state permit or waiting period, and dealers require age 21 for handguns.
