The Riley Defense RAK-47 Sidefolder is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in 7.62x39mm and built around a fully heat-treated mil-spec stamped receiver. Its side-folding triangular metal stock provides a compact storage and transport configuration, while stained solid teak handguards and a Bakelite pistol grip provide a classic AK-pattern appearance. The 16.25-inch 4150 steel nitride-treated barrel is threaded 14x1 left-hand for compatible muzzle devices. Additional features include forged trunnion, bolt, and carrier components, adjustable front and rear sights, a machined receiver side rail for optic mounting, a bayonet lug, cleaning rod, extended magazine release, and bolt hold-open safety lever.
